A little bit of yule...

The short and dark days is surely a fact in this northern country. The lack of sun and daylight is draining my energy and these next month I have to brighten up the days by decorating and light a lot of candles. I have added a touch of yule items to the arrangements. The pine cones were found in an old  basket in the house when we moved in. I like the thought that they have been used in the house for many years before we came here.

What a beautiful Yule Tide display. So very artistic and romantic all this candlelight. I love those little birds. Such a delicate touch. I know what you mean about the lack of sun and daylight. As for myself, it's a year round thing. I need to have the lights on all day long, otherwise I become very weak also. Even when it's sunny outside, I need the lights on because I face the north and I only get sunlight around four. The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is to turn the lights on!

I Love your decorations! I am trying to re-arrange my dollhouses so I can fit the Christmas trees in my house! It is dark here too.... although I think you are a bit farther North than I am. But still, it just makes me want to hibernate... in bed with a good book... lots of hot tea... nowhere to go 'til the sun comes back! Lights are my savior at this time of year! Happy Yule to you!
